Since 04/1999 I was also the (temporary) head of the iS-deparment.
04/1997 to 03/1998, Condat
GmbH (consulting company)
-
Developing several RFC-enabled function modules, which were called by an
external system. The first function module was for reading a customer-specific
table and to transfer the containing data to the subsystem. The second
event was a function module which retrieve filtered customer address information
from R/3 and transmitted the result to an external sales-information-system.
For the same project I wrote a function module to read the sales data and
transferred them also to the subsystem. My tasks were both in SAP to implement
the ABAP and on the other side the corresponding communication DLL (written
with C/C++ for MS-Windows).
-
Developing an external system which sends Standard-IDoc to R/3 containing
the weight of packages. The packages were identified through a bar-code
which contains the order number. The subsystem collects the data (order
number and weight) and send they to R/3 (via transactional RFC). Utilizing
the user-exit to put the weight in the correct order using call transaction
-
Customizing for this IDoc project, like definitions for partners, ports,
logical systems etc. to establish the communication
-
End-User training for the customer to use this system.
-
Writing the documentation for these projects with MS-Word containing the
conceptual basics and the way of implementation. Additional comments were
placed in the sources of the programs.
-
OSS: Analyze of problems; researching in OSS for existing solutions and
/ or reporting a problem to SAP
-
For a project I used the data modeler to create a data model. I generated
the resulting data elements and tables in the data dictionary using the
Workbench (SE80) as root for all my work.
-
Creating dynpros for this tables using the screen painter and assigned
to a transaction codes
-
Creating batch-input-program using the batch input sessions to fill the
created tables
-
Connecting an external human resource application (Taylorix) to the cost
centers of R/3 using a standard batch input program to transfer costs between
the cost centers
-
R/3 Courses:
-
BC400 - Basic of ABAP/4 Programming (5-day-course)
-
PA??? - BAPI (3-day-course, in English language)
-
special in-house training for IDoc (one day)
-
Developing client server application (Oracle 7.x / Centura TeamDeveloper)
-
Continue the developing of an existing software
-
Maintaining leas-contracts and credit-overviews
-
Evaluating the different data for the management, building a reporting
system
-
Member of the new founded SAP-Team (four persons all together); my tasks
in this project were:
-
Specifying the As-Is and the To-Be for the company
-
Conceptual work and customizing for AM
-
Extracting and converting the old data and put them via FTP to the unix-server
for the standard batch input program
-
Supporting the project leader in customizing FI
-
Supporting the project leader in customizing CO (cost center, internal orders)
-
The customizing was done by using both the IMG and the specific transaction
codes
-
R/3 Course: for this project I was trained by a specific three-day-course
for FI/AM and CO containing the basics for the customizing at Plaut
GmbH, near Munich, Germany; after that by reading the documentation or
asking our project leader (he had more experiences). The project was not
supported by an external company (only to buy the software and setup the
system).
-
In-House-training for my colleagues (done as training on the job)
-
After my first (self-trained) ABAP-experiences my wrote an interface via
a report between FI and the existing software system to exchange data from
(pre-collected) incoming invoices (i.e. material prices; using
the order numbers as reference) to the existing external system. Each day
a file was written and transferred via FTP to the outside.
-
Study of economy with specialization in business taxes and computer science.
-
In my diploma I wrote about an object-orientated design and implementation
of a rulebased expertsystem. For the design I used the method of Coad/Yourdon
and I implemented the system with MS Visual C++ running under MS Windows
NT as an OLE-control. The knowledge base covers parts of our value-added
tax (VAT, e.g. Umsatzsteuer). The rules were stored in a small database
and loaded into the system on demand.
-
At the same time I worked as a freelancer. I supported my previous employer
in a project for a company in the pharmaceutic industry. The result was
a client-server application for the production planing, material management
and sales. The application based on MS SQL Server (as back end with triggers
and stored procedures) and MS Access (as front-end). My tasks in the project
were analysis, data modeling and implementation.
